Note to marketers -- "funny" foreign accents are not really the way to spend your $2.7m Super Bowl ad dollars.

As someone with a funny foreign accent, I wasn't really that offended by the ads.

Though as someone with a sense of humor, I was horrified.:)

In general, I thought the "racist" analysis goes overboard. Society's decided stereotypes are funny. There wouldn't have been the same reaction if the accents/jokes were British/French/(insert W. European country)

Its a lowest common denominator humor - how much did they pay to be unfunny and promote sterotyping? Me no likey likey them either!
